.Text Readability: Type Font > Subjective Experiment


This two-minute experiment assesses readers' perceptions of type readability and gives "quick and dirty" results.

Procedure
The experiment presents five different fonts (arial, helvetica, times, trebuchet, and verdana) in random, paired comparisons. The reader selects the font that he/she finds most readable.

Requirements
Monitor set to 800 x 600 or higher. No plug-ins required.
